Zip Code: 60304, Oak Park, IL
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: I have an old hardwood floor in my condo and one of the floor boards needed to be replaced, for it was cracked.
Chicagoland Flooring sent a technician to replace the board with a new one.
COMMENTS: It went excellent! After my initial call, the manager called me back the next day and scheduled an appointment with me
to look at the floor. Even though it was a small job, he assured me they were interested in the job and would be able to do it soon.
After we agreed on a good date for both of us, a technician was sent out. He was very friendly, professional and ultimately did a good
job. The floor board was replaced, stained and varnished in a few hours. When it became apparent that the new floor board didn't
quite match the existing floor boards, the technician came back the very next day to look at the floor board for no extra charge.
It was determined that the floor had a semi-gloss finish, so the technician put a couple coats of semi-gloss down for me and now it
looks like it's always been there! Plus the technician even filled another floor board that had a large gouge in it! Great job and
customer service! I appreciate how they're more than willing to go the extra mile to get the job done correctly, in a very timely manner.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The nylon slide under one leg of our sofa cracked, leaving just the center nail which gouged the floor badly
before discovered. This was in the middle of a large area of oak flooring and would be very visible with any change in furniture
arrangement. The gouge was filled. Other smaller surrounding scratches were sanded. The area was varnished with one coat, left to
dry for a short while, then buffed and varnished again.
COMMENTS: The manager of Chicagoland Flooring replied promptly to all my emails regarding scheduling and pricing. He was the only
one who would do the repair without replacing strips of wood. There was a minimum charge for any service work. We were advised that
the aging of the wood and varnish would mean a color variation between the original flooring and the repaired area, which we knew
already. The repair specialist was on time and got to work right away. I had prepared the area with sheets to cover the
furniture. He had drop cloths with him to cover some additional areas and flooring. He was very friendly and efficient. He did the
repair up to the waiting period and had to go to another repair job. Before finishing his work, he was on the phone with the manager
who came over. They discussed the job and he left. The manager stayed and talked for a while giving us information about the proper
protection pads to use on the furniture and where to get them. At that point it was time to do the final finishing.
I couldn't believe how great it looked! You really have to be looking to see the spot, especially if the sun isn't shining directly
on it. Our other house has old floors and we discussed what that would entail to refinish them prior to selling when we retire.
We will definitely be hiring Chicagoland Flooring!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: I had all of the floors in my condo buffed and polished and the master bedroom floors sanded, stained, and polished.
This was about 1900 Square feet.
COMMENTS: Chicagoland Flooring was fantastic! The owner spent a lot of time explaining what he could and could not do and made sure
he had a full understanding of the job. In fact, my painter who was also there commented on his professionalism and knowledge.
He actually did some extras, which was a pleasant surprise. Though I got another quote that cost less, I felt more comfortable with
Chicagoland Flooring and the quality of the work he was going to perform.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK I had approximately 400 sq/ft of hardwood red oak installed in my high-rise condo.
COMMENTS: After getting quotes from 8 different installers (some came and took measurements, some gave quotes over the phone), I decided to go with Chicagoland Flooring. The owner was the most knowledgeable and also gave me the best quote. He was also willing to work within my time frame (I had to have new floors installed and find a new tenant by the end of the month). From the start, he impressed me with his attentiveness and experience, especially in dealing with a high-rise, where having to meet building requirements and paperwork can pose challenges and delays. From beginning to end the job went smoothly. If I ever had a problem or concern I would email or call his cell phone and he would respond immediately. While he was in the unit installing the floor, he even took time to show the apartment to a prospective tenant and helped her take some measurements. As a result, I got an awesome tenant and some beautiful floors. He is very personable and professional and
will go the extra mile to make his clients happy. He is a real pleasure to work with.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Removal of old flooring and installation of new hardwood floor in large family room. Buffing and refinishing of floors in kitchen, living room, and hallway. It was a difficult job requiring removal of several lawyers of old flooring, rebuilding of subfloor, removal and reinstallation of baseboards, matching existing floors, leveling new floor to meet uneven levels of old flooring, and building new thresholds. They also hauled away large amounts of debris, moved my furniture into and out of the rooms.
COMMENTS: Great job. The owner and his crew were polite, helpful, professional, and the floors look great. Old floors look like new, matching new floors very well. The job took a little over a week, and cost more than original estimate due to unexpected condition of subfloor. Everyone showed up on time, and cleaned up when they were done. They were very responsive to all my inquiries and requests.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Removed wall to wall carpet, repaired and refinished existing wood floor in family room.
COMMENTS: The project turned out to be much bigger than anticipated since the floor underneath the carpet had significant repair work to be done as well as sub floor repair. However, it was worth the effort and the result hardwood floor looks great.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: One bedroom (14X14) walnut stained hardwood floor that had been carpeted was sanded down to the natural finish and two coats of quick drying sealant applied.
COMMENTS: I contacted the company on a Monday, the estimate was done by Tuesday and the work was completed on Friday! Because of their excellent job of sealing off the room, there was very little dust or mess. The odors were minimal as well. We were able to move furniture back into the room on the weekend.
