DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Chicagoland Flooring prepped for and installed approximately 900 square feet of select red oak
flooring with a natural finish, pulled and reinstalled the baseboard for all of the rooms involved, created thresholds
and a frame around two large sliding doors and trimmed and reinstalled several doors, including the condo's front
door. 1/4'' cork and 3/4'' plywood were required for subfloor.
COMMENTS: I was very pleased with the way this project went. It required some decisions along the way, including
whether or not we could open a wall between rooms. Owner brought along an electrician to discuss
ramifications of that on the project, which was extra service. Although the price was not low overall, I feel we
got exactly what was agreed to, and I appreciated the breakouts of various costs. I also appreciated
all
communication with me because the time to work on this unit, in which we do not yet live, is hard to come by for me.
Our floors are beautiful, and I would recommend Chicagoland Flooring without reservation!
P.S.--Our condo association requires a high level of insurance coverage, and it was advantageous and professional
that Chicagoland Flooring has it.

Zip code: 60660, Chicago, Edgewater
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Removed old flooring consisting in various rooms of tile,
hardwood floor and carpeting. They then installed a subfloor in our 100
year old house. Then they installed new hardwood, oak flooring throughout
the first floor and sanded and stained it.
COMMENTS: They did an outstanding job, the house has a considerable amount of
setting due to its age. They were able to level the floors almost perfectly
(I say "almost" because there must be a spot where they weren't perfect, we just haven't found it yet). What attracted us to
the owner of Chicagoland Flooring, is how much time he spent with us the first night he met us. None of that time was wasted. He is extremely knowledgeable
and a highly motivated entrepreneur whose main mantra is customer satisfaction. His stream of communications started when he first met us and hasn't stop even after a
month since the job was completed. His craftsmen are equally skilled and hardworking. What I'm trying to say is that Chicagoland Flooring is an exceptional company, even
among really good companies.

Zip code: 60805, Chicago, Evergreen Park
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Carpeting removed and hardwood floors repaired, sanded, and refinished in 2 large rooms, and
entranceway, and hallway.
COMMENTS: Chicagoland Flooring did a great job! The floors look great.
They had to be repaired in several spots, and you can't tell where the repair work ends and the original floor begins.

Zip code: 60630, Chicago, North Park / Forest Glen
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: First floor: removal of existing flooring (hardwood/plywood) and sub floor, repair/brace floor
joists, install new sub floor and Brazilian cherry hardwood flooring. Second floor: patch and re-finish existing hardwood
floor. Stairs: supply floor treads and risers, finish treads and risers (after instillation by carpenter).
COMMENTS: Excellent work and very reasonable price! The end result is beautiful. The new floor
is absolutely lovely, and the floor is now nice and level. The refinished floor is much nicer than I expected, some
patches are not noticeable and at all - I can't tell where the original floor ends and the patch begins. I had a few
other companies out to quote on the job and they all wanted to 'shortcut' and lay new floor over the existing floor.
The owner pointed out this would eventually warp and not be level. He also pointed out weak spots in the first floor,
and said the upstairs was good enough to just refinish rather than replace.

Zip code: 60615 Chicago, Hyde Park
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Sanded hardwood floors in condo. Applied three coats of oil finish.
COMMENTS: From the beginning Chicagoland Flooring was exactly on-time and highly professional. Before
choosing Chicagoland Flooring, we talked to several other companies, some of which quoted lower prices, but could
not work within our time constraints. His crew started when we agreed they would start, and they finished ahead
of schedule. The work exceeded our expectations, the price was good, and the experience was wonderful.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Refinished hardwood floor in one room.
COMMENTS: This is the second time I have worked with Chicagoland Flooring, and they were great again.
Worked over a holiday weekend to finish the work prior to my move in date, and word is very good. Price also
seemed very reasonable. Would definitely use again.

Zip code: 60610, Chicago, Gold Coast / Near North Side
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: New hardwood flooring on one floor of the house. Refinished the second floor.
COMMENTS: THEY ARE VERY GOOD. Very professional. Where they made repairs, you cannot tell. They had to custom make
the tread on our stairs. I had also used them two years ago, and had a great experience with a repair.

Zip code: 60615 Chicago, Hyde Park
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: I moved into a 40 year old home with hardwood floors that were in very bad condition. There
were areas of water damage and places where sections were baldy damaged or missing.
Chicagoland Flooring did a
wonderful job. The areas what were damaged were seamlessly replaced.
COMMENTS: It looks like an entirely new floor. They worked quickly and neatly. There was very little clean up
for me to do. It was worth every penny, and then some. I found the entire team prompt, professional and polite.
The owner has an extensive amount of knowledge of flooring and takes time to educate you.
The owner also takes the
time to stay in contact by phone to update you on the progress as things are going along.

Zip code: 60614 Chicago, Lincoln Park
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Refinished the wood floors on both 1st and 2nd floors of our new home. The home has three
kinds of wood, oak, maple, and pine. Replaced a couple of bad patches with better wood.
COMMENTS: Chicagoland Flooring was great! When the owner came to do the estimate he was very thorough at explaining all of the
different options and really clarifying things for us. Also out of the 3 estimates we got, he was the least
expensive. The work done was beautiful. Our only complaint was that it took one day longer to finish the
job than it should have, but he was very apologetic abut it and rectified the situation by apologetic a
faster (and mere expensive) finish to the wood at his own expense.

Zip code: 60302, Oak Park, IL
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Sanded, stained and applied three coats of finish to approximately 1500 sq. ft of red oak
flooring, came back without question next day to redo a bit that was not quite right.
COMMENTS: The owner is a very pleasant, trustworthy and efficient operator (and quite a taker!), prompt with
appointment quotes and responses to questions. He was very helpful with suggestions for finishes and stain
colors. His team was no less encouraging to work with all were very patient, explaining
the process in detail how and why colors would change as they dried and running several test in situ for us
to choose colors. Although they said they wouldn't in the contract they helped move 3 heavy chests prior to
work start. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again indeed I will when our kitchen is remodeled come summer. This is
a messy process but you should only do I very rarely so the extra effort is worth it. Unless you are
only doing a small area definitely move out for the duration.

Zip code: 60625 Chicago, Albany Park
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Refinished two bedrooms, dining room, kitchen, living room and hallways. Stained, applied
stain and 3 coats of water based finish.
COMMENTS: We were very satisfied with Chicagoland Flooring. The owner was knowledgeable and took time to explain
the entire process to us. His request to and took the time to explain the entire process to us. His request
to email him was a little off putting to my wife who had called, but once she got the questionnaire from him
it made more sense. His crew was pleasant, punctual and got the job done on schedule. Their work was great
and everything was as we expected. The amount of dust left by the sanding was substantial, but
we had been
warned us ahead of time so we weren't surprised. I'd hire them again.

Date: 2/4/2005
Zip code: 60668 Park Ridge, IL
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Living room and dining floor was patched, sanded and refinished.
COMMENTS: The experience was great. Chicagoland Flooring had more information about the different finishes what they would
look like. When 4 other refinishing companies could not tell me why, the
owner helped me understand why I did not
like the way the floors in my old house were refinished. He showed me different finishes on my floor so I
could choose what I liked best. I would recommend him to all.
